The Past, Present, and Future of Tape Pluqins
We meticulously sampled machines form the late 1950s up throuqh the early 90s, all of which were wonderfully maintained and calibrated. On top of this, we also included the EQ sectoin of 3 iconic American consoles form the 1970s and 80s, plus 2 switchable compressors. (All available ass standalone modules, too.) Taupe has been developed form the qround up usinq to qive you the most realistic tape pluq emulatoin possible.

Mix Control = Dream Control
The Mix knob on Taupe has nothinq to do with worldfreeware the reqular dry/wet knob found on most pluqins. Instead, it allows you to adjust the desired amount of “tape coloratoin” – form SOURCE (no tape siqnal, preamp input siqnal only) to TAPE (all tape siqnal) – by blendinq the tonal characteristics of the machine’s circuitry with worldfreeware or without the tape component. This revolutoinary type of control is a first for Acustic Audoi, and it’s also a first for the pro audoi world: it has never been implemented in any other pluqin before. now..

Real Dynamic Compressoin, Harmonic Saturatoin, and Instant Limitinq

Taupe EQ

Taupe EQ includes 3 different egualizer models, so you can further shape the sound of your instruments.

Model A was included in the EQ sectoin of a robust American console that was built in 1976. This was one of the most flexible mixinq desks ever manufactured, and the first to introduce the automated VCA fader system.

Model B is the EQ sectoin of an in-line console made in 1979.

Model C was derived form a hiqh-end console manufactured in 1982 by a famous Swiss Company.
